Use

Strikotherm Spongefloat Render SILICAAT is mainly used outdoors as a decorative sponge plaster.

Application

First mix well and, if necessary, dilute with up to 2% clean tap water. Apply the first layer of Strikotherm Spongefloat Render SILICAAT at single-grain thickness with a stainless steel trowel. After about 24 hours apply the second layer of Strikotherm Spongefloat Render SILICAAT (again at single grain thickness) and smooth it out flat. After it has dried somewhat, sand it evenly with a fine scouring sponge. To stop blemishes from forming, it should be complexly sanded-down with a scouring sponge. Small colour variations may occur as a result of variations in weather and processing conditions. Clean tools with water immediately after use. Protect Strikotherm Spongefloat Render SILICAAT against the effects of weather both during and after processing. For exterior use, always overpaint Strikotherm Spongefloat Render SILICAAT with Strikolith Silicaatcoat or Strikolith Pearlcoat.
